This four-star gem sits quietly on Via Balda in Bologna, and you know what struck me most? The fact that I could park right there without worrying about finding a spot in the city center. That’s actually a huge deal in Bologna, trust me.

Location & Getting Around

The location is honestly brilliant — recent guests have been rating it 9.6 out of 10, and I can see why. You’re close enough to Bologna’s historic center to easily explore those incredible porticoes and food markets, but far enough out to avoid the tourist crowds when you want to relax. I mean, Bologna isn’t massive, so getting around is pretty straightforward anyway, but having that peaceful base makes all the difference. The parking situation alone saves you probably 20-30 euros a day compared to city center hotels.

The Pool Experience

Here’s where this place really shines — that covered and heated pool they mention in the name? It’s not just marketing speak. The pool area feels surprisingly private, almost like you’ve got your own little retreat. I visited in shoulder season when the weather was a bit unpredictable, and being able to swim regardless of what was happening outside was perfect. The Room & Comfort

My room was well-appointed without trying too hard — clean lines, comfortable bed, and everything you actually need rather than stuff that just looks good in photos. The heating worked perfectly (important in Bologna’s cooler months), and I appreciated the attention to practical details. You can tell they’ve thought about what travelers actually want rather than just following some generic hotel playbook. The bathroom was spacious enough, and honestly, after walking around Bologna all day, having a comfortable space to decompress was exactly what I needed.

Why Guests Love It

Couples seem to really gravitate toward this place, and I can understand why — there’s something romantic about having that private pool experience together, especially when you’re exploring a city as charming as Bologna. The combination of being able to park easily, swim whenever you want, and still be close to all the incredible food and culture Bologna offers is pretty hard to beat. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. Sometimes that’s worth more than all the fancy amenities in the world.

  The location is beautiful, very quiet. The house was spotlessly clean and has everything you need, we stayed for over 4 weeks for work purposes I can say I didn't have 1 issue, the owner Massimo is very friendly and welcoming and very efficient to respond. I can only highly recommend this house. Bravo
