I mean, yes, it’s literally called “Stadium Apartment” and there are free bikes (which, by the way, are actually decent quality – not the rusty afterthoughts most places throw at you), but the whole vibe is more like staying at a design-conscious friend’s place who happens to live in one of Bologna’s most interesting neighborhoods.

The location on Via Gastone Sozzi is actually pretty brilliant once you figure out the area. It’s in this sort of residential pocket that feels authentically Bolognese – you’ll hear older locals chatting from their balconies in the evening, and there’s this great little alimentari about two blocks down where the owner will slice prosciutto paper-thin while telling you about his nephew’s latest football obsession. The apartment itself has this clean, modern setup that somehow doesn’t feel sterile – maybe it’s the way the morning light hits the windows, or how they’ve arranged the furniture so it actually makes sense for how people live, not just how spaces photograph. I was there during a busy weekend in spring, and while you can hear some street life (this is Italy, after all), it’s the good kind of ambient city noise that makes you feel connected to the place, not annoyed.

What really won me over was the attention to practical details that most places completely ignore. The bike situation isn’t just a gimmick – they’re properly maintained, and the location puts you about fifteen minutes from both the university area and the centro storico, which is honestly the sweet spot for exploring Bologna. You can pedal to Piazza Maggiore for morning coffee, then swing by the Quadrilatero market area for lunch, and still have energy to venture toward the stadium area (hence the name, I guess) if you’re into that scene. The 9.5 rating starts to make sense when you realize how rare it is to find a place that gets both the big picture and the small stuff right – like having enough outlets where you actually need them, and a kitchen setup that works if you want to grab fresh pasta from the market and cook it properly. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like it was designed by people who actually travel themselves, rather than just trying to tick boxes on some hospitality checklist.

  La posizione, anche se non si trova in prossimità del centro è facilmente raggiungibile ed immersa nel verde distante dal traffico e comunque servita dai servizi essenziali, inoltre da non sottovalutare la facilità di parcheggio libero e gratuito.

  Questo soggiorno è stato fantastico e oltre ogni aspettativa.
  La vista dà sul torrente del Reno, silenzio perfetto e quartiere sereno. Ogni stanza della casa è ampia, ariosa e molto ben curata.
  Andare al centro è facilissimo, servitissimi da 3 autobus che in meno di venti minuti sei in Piazza Maggiore. Poi mi sono accorto che è a disposizione una bicicletta privata che con la ciclabile sei a dieci minuti dal centro, bellissimo!
  Nell'altra direzione si raggiunge parco Talon e San Luca che sono spettacolari.
  Davvero una bellissima esperienza, host premuroso e disponibile.
  Spero davvero di tornarci !

  Cris si è dimostrato un ottimo host, facilmente contattabiIe e disponibilissimo per ogni esigenza!
  Ci ha fatto trovare un appartamento pulitissimo e completo di tutto l'occorrente per trascorrere il nostro weekend di Pasqua senza pensieri!
  Camere da letto spaziose, ambienti confortevoli e caldi.
  Al nostro arrivo ci ha fatto trovare un graditissimo welcome kit!
  Ampio parcheggio libero adiacente lo stabile.
  Proprio dietro casa si possono trovare bar, gelaterie e market.
  Il centro è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi, in circa 40 minuti, attraverso un percorso ciclo-pedonale che passa dietro casa.
  Consigliatissimo.
