But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked away on Via dal Lino in Saragozza, which is one of those neighborhoods that feels properly Bolognese without being touristy. The apartment itself has this lived-in charm that I wasn’t getting from the photos online. When you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how people live, not just how to cram in amenities. The kitchen’s got everything you need if you hit the morning market at Mercato delle Erbe (honestly, about a 15-minute walk and worth every step). I mean, Bologna’s food scene is incredible, but sometimes you just want to make your own coffee without hunting for an open café, you know? The windows face toward the stadium area – hence the name – and while you might worry about noise, it’s actually pretty quiet most of the time. Match days are obviously different, but the energy’s kind of infectious rather than annoying.

What really got me was the location’s sweet spot factor. Saragozza feels residential enough that you’re living like a local, but you’re not stranded out in the suburbs. The Portico di San Luca starts nearby, which is this covered walkway that stretches for kilometers up to the hilltop sanctuary – it’s one of those things that looks intimidating but becomes oddly meditative once you start walking. And getting into the city center? Well, it’s Bologna, so everything’s walkable anyway, but you’ve got good bus connections if you’re feeling lazy or carrying too much from shopping. The whole area has this relaxed vibe during the day, then picks up energy in the evenings when people are heading out to dinner. I noticed the host had left these little local recommendations – not the usual tourist trap stuff, but actual neighborhood spots. There’s this osteria about five minutes away that I never would have found otherwise, and honestly, it was better than half the places in the guidebooks. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it works in all the ways that matter when you’re actually trying to experience a city rather than just tick boxes.

  Super clean cosy appartment, well equipped, very good location. Good communication with host.

  New, clean and modern apartment. Just a few meters from the bus stop to get to the city center. Private parking on site (for an extra fee) and also free parking options further away down the street. Nice and helpful host.

  Very clean and tidy, excellent bathroom, kitchinette. Everything you need is there. Nice communication with the owner. Easy to find and enter thr apr; nice green yard.
  
  What could be improved: In the bedroom-a bit noisy; you could hear every car that passed by and everyone talking on the sidewalk.
  Also, the sofa was squeaking at every move.

  Exceeded expectations for our 1 night stay! This place was beautiful and had everything we needed and more.
  
  What could be improved: That we had to to make PayPal deposit which never done before. But once I did it the host was really good gave us clear instructions and deposit back straight away. So other then not being sure, it was all good at the end

  The apartment is very clean and modern. There is a shop and bus stops nearby. Walking under the arches you can reach the city center in about 40 minutes. It is even more interesting than traveling by bus. Highly recommend.

  Everything was great! The apartment was comfortable, super clean, made with very good quality, private parking and a perfect comunication with Silvia! I totally recommend it!!!

  Once we knew which bus number we needed to catch, getting there was fairly easy.
  The apartment was fabulous with great facilities for self catering. The washing machine was a much needed necessity especially for traveller's living out of a suitcase with plenty of space for getting things dry. Parking was easy after we collected our hire car.
