Saragozza Boutique Apartment Overview
You know what really struck me about Saragozza Boutique Apartment? It’s tucked away on Via Saragozza in this wonderfully authentic Bologna neighborhood where you’ll actually hear more Italian than English – which honestly makes the whole experience feel more genuine. The building itself has that classic Bolognese character, with those beautiful porticoes that the city’s famous for, and you’re literally a pleasant walk from the historic center without being stuck in the tourist chaos.
I mean, calling it an “apartment” is pretty accurate – it feels more like staying in someone’s thoughtfully designed home than a typical hotel room. The space has this boutique sensibility that actually lives up to the name, with modern touches that work really well with the old-world Italian architecture. What I appreciated most was the attention to practical details that a lot of places miss – the kitchen setup is actually functional if you want to grab some incredible produce from the local markets (and trust me, you do), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that doesn’t feel gimmicky. The whole place just feels… comfortable, you know? Like they thought about how people actually live and travel.
The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience Bologna like locals do. You’re right in the Saragozza district, which means you can walk to places like the Madonna di San Luca sanctuary if you’re feeling ambitious – though that’s quite a hike up the hill. More importantly for daily life, you’re surrounded by those little family-run shops and cafés that make Bologna so special. I found myself grabbing morning coffee at this tiny place around the corner where the barista started recognizing me after two days. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you consider that this isn’t trying to be a flashy hotel – it’s just really well-executed hospitality in a city where that actually means something. Plus, and this matters more than people think, the neighborhood is genuinely quiet at night, which is a blessing when you’re trying to sleep off all that incredible Bolognese food.

Reviews of Saragozza Boutique Apartment
It was an enjoyable space to enable us to explore the unknown city of Bologna – Bernard from Australia – 13 June 2025 (8/10)
We had the space and facilities to provide our own breakfast. We could run our own schedule for sightseeing and excursions as needed.
Very comfortable facilities.
What could be improved: The bed settee was a little uncomfortable.Amazing stay – Diyora from United Kingdom – 21 May 2025 (10/10)

Really clean and spacious, roomy apartment with all the comfort you need for a city trip and a pleasant stay. Location was great as well, easy walk distance to the centre and nice restaurants around.
What could be improved: The place has a little bit of city noise (neighbours, constructions, busy road) but nothing too loud or disturbingGreat location – Stephen from United Kingdom – 7 November 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: NothingDon't look any further, you've found your accomodation. – Melanie from Australia – 8 October 2024 (10/10)
I cannot fault the Saragozza Boutique Apartment. Everything was spectacular. We loved the keyless entry option (and appreciated the backup keys in the lockbox). The area is great with bars and restaurants within stones throw and a short walk to the city centre. The hosts Marco and Francesca were lovely, friendly and attentive.
The apartment was beautiful, modern and all the finishes were top-quality.
Despite having to dispose of your own rubbish the disposal points were right outside the building and easy to use.
I've noticed a few people mentioning the street noise as a problem but to be honest we didn't think it was a problem, with car and foot traffic quieting down at night anyway.
Great value for money in a treasure of a city.
What could be improved: Nothing. It was brilliant.Excellent apartment, stay here! – Andrea from Australia – 25 September 2024 (10/10)
Beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean and with everything you need. We really appreciated that they provided coffee pods with the coffee machine, as this hasn't been the case in other places.
There is a washing machine/dryer in the bathroom, dishwasher, microwave etc.
The position is excellent. Walking distance to the town, inside the town walls with a bus stop outside.
Great place.
What could be improved: Despite having a washer/dryer, I would have loved a clothes rack, as lots of our clothes couldn't go through the dryer.Exceptional – Gülay from Bulgaria – 28 June 2024 (10/10)
Clear room , hospitality , location
Exceptional – Octavian from Romania – 21 May 2024 (10/10)
It was very clean and modern and we enjoyed staying there.
What could be improved: Maybe a little noise from outside and from the neighbours upstairs, but not something very disturbing.Exceptional – Paul from United Kingdom – 13 April 2024 (10/10)
Lovely old building, great location, apartment and furnishings all to a high standard
What could be improved: NothingVery nice and cozy apartment – Sofya from Cyprus – 27 March 2024 (10/10)
The location of the accommodation was ideal, situated within walking distance to the historic city center, making it easy to get to the attractions, restaurants, and shops. Also, the neighborhood had small restaurants with local food and some grocery shops.
The accommodation itself was cozy and charming, with tastefully decorated rooms that provided a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and had all the necessary amenities to ensure a pleasant stay.
The staff at the accommodation was friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with any requests or questions. We communicated by WhatsApp.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Bologna, Italy. It offers a fantastic location, comfortable accommodations, and good support service. I would definitely choose to stay here again.
What could be improved: There was no iron and ironing board. Also, the deposit box is quite a necessity for all travelers.
