You’re a quick tram ride from Piazza Maggiore when you want the full Bologna experience, but you get to come home to this quiet neighborhood that feels genuinely Italian. Parco Don Bosco is right there – I mean literally a two-minute walk – and it’s where locals actually hang out, not just tourists taking selfies. Early mornings there are pretty magical if you’re into that sort of thing. The coffee bar on Via San Donato (can’t remember the exact name, but it’s the one with the red awning) makes espresso that’ll ruin Starbucks for you forever.

The apartment itself just… works. Everything’s been thought through without feeling over-designed. The kitchen’s small but functional – I actually cooked a few meals there using ingredients from the market near Porta San Donato, and it didn’t feel like I was performing surgery in a shoebox. The bed’s comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been hit by a Vespa, which honestly can’t be said for every place I’ve stayed in Italy. Check-in was smooth – no awkward key exchanges or hunting down the owner at midnight. And here’s something that might matter if you’re a light sleeper: the street’s quiet enough that you won’t hear every conversation and scooter that passes by, but you still get those lovely Italian morning sounds drifting through the windows. The whole thing just feels authentic without trying too hard, which is sort of rare these days. If you want to experience Bologna like someone who actually lives there, instead of just passing through, this place gets it right.

• Fajne mieszkanie w cichej okolicy – Krzysiek from Poland – 9 June 2025 (10/10)

  Bardzo czyste miejsce , fajna lokalizacja ok. 20 min autobusem do Centro Storico. Blisko na lotnisko – taxi 25 euro , 15 min. Coop po drugiej ulicy, dwie fajne pizzerie oraz kawiarnia.
  
  What could be improved: Miło by było, aby w mieszkaniu była na powitanie chociaz butelka wody, kawa/herbata na start . Mieliśmy lot wieczorny i nie mielismy gdzie kupić nawet butelki wody. Takze taki gest na pewno byloby mily 🙂
