This four-star hotel sits right in the thick of things in Bologna — I mean, you’re literally steps from the main train station, but somehow it doesn’t feel chaotic or touristy. The building has this understated Italian elegance that doesn’t try too hard, which honestly feels refreshing after seeing so many over-the-top hotel lobbies.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in Bologna without breaking a sweat. The Piazza Maggiore is maybe a 10-minute stroll, and you’ll pass some fantastic little cafés along the way. What really struck me is how couples seem to gravitate toward this area (they rate the location 8.8, which makes total sense). There’s something romantic about being able to wander the porticoes at sunset and then just slip back to your hotel without dealing with trams or taxis. Plus, if you’re doing day trips to Florence or Venice, having the train station so close is actually brilliant.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was what I’d call “thoughtfully modern” — clean lines, good lighting, and none of that fussy décor that makes you afraid to touch anything. The bed was genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathroom had this nice rainfall shower that actually worked properly. You know what impressed me most? The soundproofing. Despite being in such a central location, I barely heard any street noise, which is pretty remarkable for Bologna’s busy center.

Dining and Daily Rhythms

The hotel’s restaurant serves solid Italian fare, though honestly, with Bologna’s incredible food scene right outside your door, you’d be crazy not to explore. That said, their breakfast spread is worth getting up for — proper espresso, fresh pastries, and local cheeses that give you a nice taste of Emilia-Romagna without having to hunt around for a good café first thing in the morning. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood well, so don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations beyond the usual tourist spots.

  Really nicely decorated/styled and clean. Very Close to the train station but still walking distance to the Piazza Maggiore. There’s a lift and AC. It was quiet during our stay. Good communication.

  We needed to stay close to the train station and this was perfect for that. Also only a relatively short walk to the old centre which is filled with amazing eateries and little streets/alleyways! Lovely big room with all we could ask for really. Matteo was super friendly and helpful 🙂
