You know what surprised me most about Lilli House? It actually feels like staying in someone’s beautiful Bologna apartment rather than a typical hotel suite. The moment you walk up to Via de’ Pepoli 8/5, you’re basically in the thick of everything that makes Bologna special – I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your door.

The suite itself has this effortless Italian elegance that honestly makes you feel a bit more sophisticated just being there. High ceilings, original architectural details, and – this is key – actually comfortable furniture, not just stuff that looks good in photos. The kitchen area is properly equipped too, which matters because you’ll probably end up at Mercato delle Erbe (just around the corner) buying fresh pasta and local cheese. Fair warning though: if you’re sensitive to street noise, the windows facing Via de’ Pepoli can get a bit lively during morning market hours, but that’s Bologna for you – it’s a living, breathing city, not a museum.

What really sets this place apart is the location knowledge you get from staying here. The host clearly knows the neighborhood inside and out, and you’ll find yourself walking down little side streets toward Osteria del Sole or stumbling upon that tiny wine bar on Via Marsala that locals actually frequent. The building itself has character – those old Bologna staircases that make you feel like you’re in a film – and parking is honestly better than expected for this part of the city center. During my stay in October, the whole area had this perfect autumn energy, students from the university mixing with locals doing their daily shopping, and you really get the sense of living like a Bolognese person rather than just passing through. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Bologna trip before you’ve even left.

  Top Appartement in sehr zentraler Lage in Bologna. Alles fußläufig erreichbar. Ausstattung sehr gut und modern über zwei Etagen. Sehr gute Kaffeemaschine mit vorhandenem Kaffe und eine Waschmaschine. Es fehlte nichts! Digitaler Kontakt zur Vermieterin hervorragend. Digitaler Zutritt einfach.
  Auto auf Empfehlung der Vermieterin sehr gut nur zwei Minuten zu Fuß in der Garage Farini geparkt. 35 Euro pro Tag ok. Personal sehr freundlich. Anmeldung in ZLT Zone auch durch die Garage. Schlüssel ist abzugeben. Aber das Autotetris möchte keiner selbst machen. Die können das und die Italiener parken dort auch.
  Zentraler und so gut erreichbar geht kaum in Bologna

  Fantastic location, great refrigerator, washing machine, could have used a fan to complement the AC in the intense heat. All in all, super satisfied to be right there in the very heart of Bologna. Highly reccommend!

  La posizione dell'alloggio, nel centro storico di Bologna, è quello che ci ha principalmente convinto nella scelta.
  La struttura è nuova, ideata in modo tale da poter garantire il massimo confort curata nei minimi particolari per poter soddisfare ogni esigenza, un mini appartamento con tutti i servizi.
  In fine, non meno importante, la pulizia e le informazioni fornite con un opuscolo di "guida alla permanenza in struttura" concludono positivamente la recenzione.
  
  What could be improved: Essendo situato al piano terra d'affaccio su di un vicolo è inevitabile avvertire rumori anche di notte dovuti alle persone di passaggio. Il boiler nel bagno non permette di fare più 2 docce consequtivamente.
