Via Orfeo doesn’t get the late-night foot traffic that the main drags do, so you can actually sleep with the windows open and catch those lovely evening breezes that roll through the city in summer. The breakfast situation is solid too – proper Italian coffee, obviously, and they source their pastries from a bakery somewhere in the neighborhood that clearly knows what they’re doing.

Here’s the thing about this place that might not be obvious from photos – it’s got character without being fussy about it. The staff genuinely seems to care about the place, not just going through the motions, and they’ll give you proper recommendations for restaurants that locals actually go to. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to Bologna’s historic center), but they’ll help you figure out the ZTL zones and point you toward the closest garage. The 8.2 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it does what it does really well. If you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re staying somewhere with soul rather than just a place to crash between sightseeing, this is your spot.   The staff were so helpful and friendly, helping us with transport enquiries. The breakfast was lovely, rooms were smaller than we thought from the pictures but more than fine. The location was quiet, air cond worked well given we were there in a heatwave. About a 10 minute walk to the city centre but at least 10 eating places nearby.

  Clean, comfortable bed in a simple plain room with clean bathroom. Excellent continental style breakfast with yogurt, meats, cheeses, pastries, etc. Friendly staff and a comfortable walk to town center. For the price, everything was as expected.

  Quiet room with the nice view.
  Comfortable bed, good shower, a lot of towels ,which is nice.
  The design of the hotel itself is very beautiful.
  Good breakfast with various choice of sweet and salty food.
