I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Quadrilatero district where all the food markets buzz with energy, but the moment you step inside this place, there’s this immediate sense of calm that washes over you. The building itself has that understated Bologna elegance – none of the flashy stuff you see elsewhere, just solid architecture that’s been here long enough to feel properly settled into the neighborhood.

The thing about Homeby is they’ve figured out how to make a 4-star property feel genuinely homey (hence the name, I guess) without sacrificing any of the polish you’d expect. The rooms have this warm, lived-in quality – think exposed brick details and furniture that actually looks like someone put thought into it, not just ordered it from a hotel catalog. What really got me was the attention to small stuff: the lighting is soft and warm in the evenings, there’s proper blackout curtains for those summer mornings when Bologna’s sun hits early, and honestly, the beds are ridiculously comfortable. I’m usually a light sleeper, but the street stays pretty quiet at night – you might catch some gentle conversation from the osteria down the block, but it’s more charming than disruptive.

The location is where this place really shines, though. You’re walking distance from Piazza Maggiore, obviously, but more importantly you’re in a real neighborhood where actual Bolognese people live and work. There’s a fantastic little bakery two blocks over that opens at 6 AM if you’re an early riser, and the evening aperitivo scene along Via del Pratello is maybe a ten-minute stroll. The staff – and this matters more than you’d think – actually know the area well enough to point you toward the less obvious spots. They steered me toward this incredible mortadella place that I never would have found on my own. Check-in was smooth, no drama with the key situation, and they’re pretty flexible about luggage storage if you arrive early or need to leave bags after checkout. For what it’s worth, that 9.5 rating feels about right – it’s the kind of place where small details add up to something genuinely special without trying too hard to impress you.

  Ηταν πεντακαθαρα ολα, προσφατα ανακαινισμενο,ζεστο και ευρυχωρο,ιδανικο για οικογενεια.Πολυ κοντα στο σταθμο και με τα ποδια απο το κεντρο της πολης.Δεν ειχε φασαρια καθολου και τοσο το check in οσο και το check out ηταν ανετα και ευκολα.Οι διαχειριστες πολυ εξυπηρετικοι και διαθεσιμοι.Οταν επιστρεψω,σιγουρα θα το επιλεξω παλι!!!Ευχαριστουμε πολυ!

  Banyolarda sıcak su ilk gün akmıyordu. İkinci gün bunu fark edip iletince hızlıca çözdüler.

  Das Apartment/ Apartmentzimmer sind neu und sehr gut ausgestattet und brauchen einen Vergleich mit einem guten 3-4 Sterne Hotel nicht zu scheuen. Obwohl relativ nahe am Hauptbahnhof gelegen ist die Area save (das haben wir auf jeden Fall so empfunden). Ein sehr nettes Frühstücks-Cafe ist gleich um die Ecke und das "historische" Zentrum ist einmal über die Brücke ca. 400m entfernt.
