You know what struck me first about this place? The fact that it’s actually in a historic palazzo but doesn’t feel stuffy or museum-like at all. Walking up Via Irnerio – which, honestly, is one of those streets that feels properly Bolognese without being touristy – you’d almost miss the entrance if you weren’t looking for it. But once you’re inside, there’s this wonderful sense of stepping into someone’s carefully curated home rather than a typical hotel room.

The loft itself is genuinely spacious, and I mean actually spacious, not that weird hotel marketing version of spacious where you can barely open your suitcase. The ceilings are high enough that you don’t feel cramped, and whoever designed this place clearly understood that travelers need real space to spread out. What really got me was how they’ve managed to preserve the historical character – you can feel the age of the building in the best possible way – while making everything feel completely modern and livable. The kitchen area is particularly well thought out; not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation, but something you could actually use if you wanted to grab ingredients from Mercato delle Erbe (which is just a pleasant walk away, by the way).

Location-wise, this is pretty much ideal if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the chaos around Piazza Maggiore every time you step outside. You’re close enough to the university area that there’s always life on the streets, but Via Irnerio itself is quiet enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open – something I always appreciate in Italian cities. The 9.4 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s one of those places where you can tell the owners actually care about the details that matter. Check-in was smooth, the wifi actually works properly (crucial for anyone trying to get work done), and honestly, the whole experience just felt more authentic than most places in this price range. If you’re the type who prefers feeling like a temporary local rather than a tourist passing through, this is exactly the kind of place that delivers on that promise.

  Appartement très bien équipé y compris en ustensiles de cuisine, en shampoing et gel douche. Il y a même une trousse de secours. On sent que ce n'est pas un appartement à usage exclusivement touristique, ce qui fait son charme. Calme et bien placé, donnant sur un jardin. Spacieux et bien décoré. Il était très agréable à vivre. En outre, l'hôte était très réactif et sympathique.

  Extraordinary apartment, with huge parking in a closed courtyard.The apartment is very nice and modern and fully equipped with all appliances and things, suitable for permanent residence. It even has a vacuum robot, a printer and an air purifier. Excellent location. Definitely the warmest recommendation.
