The rooms have this elegant, old-world Italian feel without being stuffy – like staying at your incredibly well-heeled aunt’s palazzo, if you had one. The beds are seriously comfortable, and the bathrooms… well, let’s just say they know how to do marble properly. I stayed on the third floor and barely heard any street noise, which is saying something since Via Indipendenza can get pretty lively. The restaurant downstairs serves solid traditional Bolognese cuisine, though honestly, with all the incredible places within walking distance, you might find yourself eating out more often than not. One small thing – the WiFi was rock solid throughout the building, which isn’t always a given in these historic properties. The concierge team was particularly helpful with dinner reservations, and they actually managed to get me a table at a place I’d been trying to book for weeks. That 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve experienced the level of service here – it’s that sweet spot where luxury doesn’t feel pretentious, just genuinely welcoming.

  This is a first class property located in the hear of the historic sector of the city.
  The staff was very accommodating in all respects.For instance when there was a problem getting a taxi to the train station on our day of departure one of the employees drove us in the hotel car at no charge.
  
  What could be improved: We had a little mix up regarding a cooking school class booked by the hotel.Apparently the lady running the school forgot to write it down.In any event the lady from guest services was able to obtain the recipes for us.

  Everything is exceptional. Beautiful interior, awesome location, fantastic food. The hotel team is very caring and going out of their ways to accommodate the guests – starting from the reception desk, to the restaurant and cleaning. The parking host went an extra mile today to help us when we were struggling to enter the location of the next destination of our journey after Bologna – we were so surprised and happy to find him double-checking on us at the point we were already frustrated in the car and figure it out!
